When it\u2019s time to support your favorite team, whether they\u2019re local or professional level, tailgating is a great way to celebrate your team\u2019s performance on the field with your friends, neighbors and family. If you want to upgrade your tailgating party, make use of your RV<\/a><\/strong>. You\u2019ll have all the conveniences of home out in the field or the parking lot, like a bathroom, a kitchen, couches and shelter from the heat, cold and rain. We\u2019re big fans of tailgating here at Bankston Motor Homes, so here are some of our suggestions for how to make your RV tailgating party unforgettable!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooking In Advance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Preparing food at home in advance is a great way to save time and ensure you\u2019re also enjoying your own party. It\u2019ll be easier than trying to fix snacks in your small RV kitchen, too. Cut up fruits and vegetables the morning of the party and keep them fresh in the fridge. Your slow cooker can be a valuable tool for preparing hot and delicious food ahead of time for your party since you can prepare chili, sausages, pulled pork and other great tailgating staples in it without much effort. Turning your event into a potluck and having everyone bring a dish, whether it\u2019s chips and dip or potato salad, will also cut down on your cooking time by getting everyone involved. You can use coolers to keep food warm just as you can to keep it cool!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decorate For Your Team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Adding decor to your RV will help create a festive atmosphere and promote team spirit. Hang some garlands or bunting in team colors along with your team\u2019s flag or a jersey pinned to the outside of your RV. Provide face paints for people to add some flair to themselves, too. Colorful Mardi Gras-style beads in your team colors is another good way to promote your team. You can even incorporate the team colors into food and beverage choices, from iced cookies to a particular flavor of sports drink or soda. Think of fun ways to promote your team and get everyone involved!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Provide A Hand Washing Station<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Everyone\u2019s going to need to wash their hands frequently after playing games, petting dogs and eating messy food. To avoid too much foot traffic in your RV that you\u2019ll have to mop up later, set up an outdoor hand washing station. Put a bucket full of water with a spigot on a table with a soap pump and paper or cloth towels next to it. Set a bucket or pan underneath it to catch the soapy runoff, which you\u2019ll want to dispose of down a drain later. It\u2019s an easy solution for clean hands without the use of hand sanitizer, which doesn\u2019t always get everything clean anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep Safety Equipment Nearby<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Whenever you\u2019re using your RV, you should have safety equipment available in it. This is important even if you\u2019re tailgating in town. Carry a few fire extinguishers, a first aid kit with medicines and bandages and anything else you think might be helpful for keeping everyone safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fire Up The Propane Grill<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Charcoal grills are great for flavor, but they make quite a mess and you have to really douse the bricks when you\u2019re done to ensure there isn\u2019t a fire hazard. If you\u2019re looking for easy clean-up and a low risk of fire, use a propane-fueled grill instead. Since your RV already uses propane for many of its appliances, you should have plenty on hand, but you should carry extra because you\u2019re bound to go through a lot of it at a tailgating party, fueling both your grill and your RV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
