Control Panel User Password Security Update

We have just made your control panel user password even more secure!

First, to prevent the issue of people easily viewing your user passwords, we will no longer display the password of a user in the user information screen in the control panel. This will prevent anyone else from viewing your password and also protection from any hackers that try and “sniff” out passwords.

Second, we understand that people forget or misplace a password, and the frustration that follows when you do. To help end the frustration, you will now simply reset the password to whatever you want it to be. This way you don’t have to waste time searching for the password, you can quickly reset it to what you want it to be.

Resetting your password can be done two ways.

One way is if you are already logged into your account and you have access to your user information, you can reset the password within the user account by typing in a new password and clicking save on the page.

Another way is if you are locked out of your account and do not remember the password, you are able to reset your password from the login screen by clicking on the Forgot Password link.

It will then ask you to enter in your username, and enter in a temporary pass code (You will need to briefly remember this pass code).

After you have submitted your username and pass code, you will receive an email with instructions on resetting your password. Follow the link in the email, and submit your user name and pass code you previously entered. At this point you will be ready to enter in your new password.
