Congratulations on deciding that NOW is the time to look at buying an RV!\u00a0 You\u2019ll be faced with many decisions throughout this process, and it\u2019s important to take the time to understand a little more about how this industry works\u2026<\/p>\n
One of the most important things to know is that an RV is never \u201cperfect\u201d<\/em> when it comes out of the factory.<\/p>\n All of the manufacturers that we work with have high standards in the manufacturing process \u2013 but these units are not built on conveyer belts with robots (as in the car industry).<\/p>\n However, when you buy from Carefree RV<\/a><\/strong>, please know that we are here to work with you to make sure that any and all issues are resolved as quickly as possible, and that all of your concerns are met in each of our departments.<\/p>\n When a unit arrives on the lot, we do a full inspection (PDI \u2013 pre-delivery inspection) \u2013 there is no extra charge for this, it is part of our internal process to make sure that a unit has arrived safely from the manufacturing plant.\u00a0 This process takes anywhere from 4 to 12 hours for a technician to complete.<\/p>\n During this process, if we find any \u201cerrors\u201d, we are able to address them immediately with our Partners.<\/p>\n However, much like when you take possession of a new home, some defects are only found when an RV is actually being used.<\/p>\n And unfortunately, Murphy\u2019s Law says that you are going to find some of the defects when you are far enough away that they can\u2019t be fixed until after you\u2019re done with your first holiday\u2026<\/p>\n That is why, when you purchase from a reputable dealer, you can have faith that\u00a0we will work with you to make sure that any and all issues are resolved.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Plus, all of the units that we sell come with a Limited Manufacturer\u2019s Warranty<\/a>. Many of the components on RV\u2019s have different warranties, with different manufacturers (for example, the microwave will be covered under a different warranty or the roof is under a different warranty).<\/p>\n But the dedicated team in our Service and Warranty Department will work on your behalf to manage the issues after your new purchase.<\/p>\n You will also be presented with a very important option to add to your new RV: The Extended Warranty which covers all mechanical issues for an extra 5-year period, as an example.<\/p>\n It is, however, meant to help you understand \u201cwhy things are the way they are\u201d, and to give you peace-of-mind in knowing that we, at Carefree RV, are here to help you enjoy your investment for a long time.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n You basically have a mini-home on wheels<\/a>!<\/p>\n Your manufacturer\u2019s warranty is a short-term guarantee that they\u2019ll fix the little problems you find right away.<\/p>\n Your extended warranty is a long-term guarantee that you\u2019re protected as you use your new or used RV.
