CP Essentials is a series of articles we’re introducing to the Learn Center, that concentrate on fundamental concepts and elements to help you get started (or give you a refresher) on the Control Panel, take maximum advantage of its features, and strengthen your web presence right away.
Our first article in this series has to do with changing basic Meta elements in Control Panel to help your website with SEO (Search Engine Optimization), the art/science of rising in the rankings of search engines, such as Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo.
Follow along with Mike as he shows you how to navigate to the page elements in the CMS that impact all basic search engines: the page title, the Meta Description, and the H1 header in page content. Each of these can hold our standard Dealer information placeholders: Name, City, State. As Mike will demonstrate with one of our clients, the elements will show up exactly as written in the search engine listing itself, and quite often on the first page for the appropriate search term.
